What do you do at Office Depot?
Being a part of Office Depot is being multinational: you get to use several languages and dialects, interact with different cultures and personalities. Each day brings up another opportunity to learn something new or to apply a different approach. At OD, languages are never theoretical, they are always practical.
How has working for Office Depot been like for you so far?
Office Depot has been the place of my personal and professional development: I have learned to know my strengths and overcome my weaknesses, I was encouraged to take on challenges and widen my knowledge. In a team one always experiences happy days, noisy giggles, cheerful tears, relaxing lunches, hard work, challenges both in sickness and in health. It is like a second family.
What excites you about working at Office Depot in the future?
OD is an environment where managers guide and teach you that mistakes are a learning opportunity and not a mirror of your incapability. On the other hand, it’s the people who create such a great atmosphere that keeps my drive up even after all these years.
What’s your advice to people who want to join Office Depot?
People should join us open mindfully and choose from the options we offer: Accounts Payable, MDM, DMS for analytical personalities, Accounts Receivable for the outgoing, Training and Supporting roles for those who are people-oriented. There is no way you won’t find something that suits your skills. So, will you make the first step?
